چکیده
Abstract The increasing concerns regarding global warming and the scarcity of raw materials in construction industry have led to a growing need for alternative low-carbon binders partially replace ordinary Portland cement. To assess suitability pozzolans as supplementary cementitious (SCMs), R 3 -test has been introduced successfully validated wide range materials. This test provides an opportunity analyze reactivity classification study reaction mechanisms kinetics novel SCMs well-controlled environment. In this study, focus lies on evaluating early reactions lime paste samples through isothermal calorimetry tests conducted at 40 °C. However, conventional mixing methods present experimental challenges. In-situ fails achieve proper homogenization, while ex-situ results temperature difference start testing due elevated condition address these concerns, calorimetric methodology is proposed detection responses. main concept involves establishing baseline correction caused by mixing, which calibrated using inert sample. allows extraction heat generated reactions. Combined with Tian time correction, enables evaluation measured °C within first 100 min after mixing. effectiveness was demonstrated impact potassium sulfate three different types metakaolin.

Energy band correction due to one dimension tension in phosphorene
Among graphene-like family, phosphorene is a typical semiconducting layered material, which can also be a superconductor in low temperature. Applying pressure or tension on phosphorene lattice results in changing the hopping terms, which change the energy bands of the material. In this research we use the tight-binding Hamiltonian, including relevant hopping terms, to calculate energy bands of ...
متن کاملARTICLES Mixing in PCBM/P3HT bilayers, using in situ and ex situ neutron reflectivity
In situ and ex situ neutron reflectivity is used to characterize annealed regioregular-P3HT/PCBM bilayers. In situ annealing of a 20 nm PCBM/35 nm P3HT bilayer at 170 °C reveals rapid mixing of PCBM and P3HT to produce a polymer-rich layer that contains around 18–20% PCBM. Samples with three different thicknesses of P3HT layer are ex situ annealed at 140 °C. This again reveals migration of PCBM...
متن کاملMathematical Modeling of Natural in Situ Bioremediation to Estimate Initial Contaminant Concentration Effect
A mathematical model has been simulated to describe natural in situ bioremediation of contaminated soil. The model equations consist of a system of three non-linear partial differential equations. Sensitivity analysis conducted by numerically solving them, has demonstrated the effect of initial contaminant concentration on the time and mechanism of remediation. The result of simulation indicate...
متن کاملCalorimetry of technical microbial reactions
Heat generation is a very conspicuous phenomenon in large scale bioreactors and could in principle quite easily be measured by the temperature increase of the cooling water. Taking yeast cultures growing on a mixed oxido-reductive metabolism for various reasons as an example, this paper demonstrates how heat dissipation measurements may be used in combination with one other on-line measurement ...
متن کاملEarly Puberty Due to Ovarian Granulosa Tumor
A 7½-year-old girl is reported showing precocious puberty and large abdominal mass for a year. The right ovarial cyst removed by surgery revealed histopathologically a granulosa cell tumor. After removal of the tumor the estrogens were still increased and the signs of puberty showed no regression. This seems to be due to the hormonal activity of the metastases. Liver metastasis was present a...
